Farmer’s Insurance Nightmare– The Ethel Adams' Story

As Chronicled in the Seattle Times

Fall 2005

You may or may not have heard this story of the guy who rammed his girlfriend into traffic and into Ethel Adams an innocent victim of the whole affair.  While out running errands and listening to one of my favorite talk show hosts Dori Monson on KIRO radio I heard the entire account and was outraged… big surprise.  I knew this story had to get posted to the site and so it is.

Ethel suffered severe injuries from the accident and her insurance Farmer’s Insurance (Ethel’s Insurance Company) decided that they did not have to honor their coverage because of their contention that it wasn’t an accident.

This just may be the story of the year of how insurance companies try to avoid paying claims at all cost!  This is a MUST READ story as chronicled in the Seattle Times by Danny Westneat.  The links are provided below.

The End of the Story – State Sides with Ethel – Hooray!

It’s a refreshing end to a story when our government officials do the right thing.
